Love Past Blue™ Signs with Grammy Award-winning Music Industry
Executive and Personal Manager, Vicky Hamilton
DALLAS, February 10, 2017 – Love Past Blue™, a young, award-winning, Dallas-based indie alternative rock band, just signed an agreement with renowned management consultant Vicky Hamilton, credited with launching the careers of platinum and multi-platinum bands including Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Mötley Crüe and Stryper, among others. Hamilton and the band joined forces after Love Past Blue’s recent performances at SpringBoard West Music Festival in San Diego, CA, an event designed to bring emerging artists and music industry professionals together for mutual benefit.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Vicky,” said Clio Cadence, lead vocalist for Love Past Blue. “We had hoped that performing at SpringBoard would open some doors for us career-wise, but we had no idea it would lead to us working with someone so amazing. She really knows what it takes to make it in this business, how to get us connected and in front of the right people. I think we all feel like this experience is really going to take us to the next level as a band.”
“Love Past Blue has all the things I look for in a new band,” said Hamilton, “great songs, good players, strong performers that feature a charismatic lead singer. This is especially impressive coming from a band whose four members are all under eighteen years of age. The first time I saw Clio sing I fell in love with her. She is cute, sassy, and confident. Her sexy voice glides over the tracks like a seasoned pro, channeling early Gwen Stefani meets Katy Perry. I thought to myself, these kids could go the distance. Then I chased a van full of supportive parents down after the show to see how I could get involved. I love working with young talent and this band’s future is as bright sun. I am grateful to have the chance to mentor Love Past Blue. Remember the name, ’cause you will hear it a lot in the future. I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.”
Love Past Blue started turning heads in early 2016 with performances at the Dallas International Guitar Festival’s Texas Top 10 Under 20, and later at the Wildflower Music Festival's Battle of the Bands, where they took home both Best Band and Best Vocalist awards. Following those successes, Love Past Blue rocked the SpringBoard festival stages in both Houston and San Diego, winning over audiences with their energetic live show. Love Past Blue’s young members include Cadence (15), guitarist Jack Hickman (14), bassist Joe Galate (17), and drummer Sam Nester (16).
Love Past Blue’s youthful style and attitude is appropriately sassy and bold, with a sound that draws upon diverse genres including jazz, funk, classic rock, and pop. The band released their self-titled debut EP on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify in early January. All seven of its original songs were mastered by Michael Wagener, known for his work on Metallica’s Master of Puppets album and several other top-selling hard rock and heavy metal albums.
